AWS Executive Committee

The executive committee consists of the executive plus the following:

Christl Hughes

Christl Hughes is a High St practitioner specialising in Employment, Family Law and Civil Litigation.
She also has extensive experience of Practice Management and as a Conciliator for the former Legal Complaints Service.
Christl was articled in Knightsbridge and moved to the Midlands after qualifying in 1980. A former President of Leicestershire Law Society and a past Chairwoman of the AWS she  also sat on the Good Practice and Regional Liaison Committees of Resolution and is currently Secretary of Leicester Medico Legal Society,an Area Representative for SBA the Solicitors' Charity,a solicitor counsellor for Law Care and AWS representative on the Law Society Council Membership Committee.
Christl is a Student Mentor for De Montfort University, Leicester and Queen Mary, University of London. She is particularly interested in Law Reform and issues concerning women wishing to enter the profession both those considering whether to take LPC and seek a Training Contract and those wishing to return after a break.

Saadia Siddiqui

Saadia has been a member of the Association of Women Solicitors since 2000 and was Chair of the London Regional Group in 2007 /8. She joined the Executive Committee in 2007 and was Chair of the Law Reform and Research sub Committee from 2007-2011. She became an associate school governor following an AWS initiative with the School Governors One Stop Shop.

Danusia Bzreznia

Danusia has been a member of the Association of Women Solicitors London Group committee since 2007. She has specialised in family law, helping clients with all aspects of family and relationship breakdown, since she qualified over 10 years ago.
Despite the many advances made in the legal profession, Danusia believes that the AWS offers what no other organisation can for women solicitors of all ages and at all stages in their career.
Danusia is chairwoman of the AWS London group for the year 2010/2011.

Sarah Austin

 
Sarah obtained her Bachelors in Business Administration in 1991 whilst working full time in the City of London in the banking and investment management sector. Sarah studied law at Guildhall University, London and was admitted to the Roll as a solicitor in 1996. After heading up private client departments in the City, Sarah set up her own practice Austins which is based in Chiswick.
Sarah is a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner in onshore jurisdictions.
Sarah is keen to promote women’s small business interests. She is a member of business networks with similar goals. This is in addition to being a member of the Law Society’s Probate Section, Sole Practitioners Group, Black Solicitors Network and Solicitors for the Elderly.
